Embrace Me Night

Embrace me night
That I may hide away in my sorrow.
Keep away from me the light
Which comes upon the morrow.

Heal my wound
For the blade has riven deep.
A friendship I have found
That now I may not keep.

Thoughts not of love
Do I seek in my misery
But the hope for one sweet dove
Whom I may have caused some grief.

Embrace me night
And take away the pain
Let not my sight
Another morrow gain

A survivor of love

This story is neither a tragedy
Nor is it a tale of victory.
It is just a cold look at what it takes
Sometimes to be a survivor.
Feelings had to be dealt with
The losses had to be counted
Then the wounds had to be left
To be as they might be.
Love never really ends
-- it just changes
Those changes are sometimes interpreted as hate.
That false sense of hatred is what causes most of the tragedies.
The false sense of hatred is usually just anger
That is fed to a fury and then unleashed.
When love becomes complacency
Then most likely the love was only lust
Or some other form of desire.
None the less desire can build a beautiful relationship
And sometimes it can survive even the trials of time.
Love however, will always survive
Even when it has to be felt as anger and hatred.
When I can understand that I don't have to hate you
Then I can love again.
